To represent the redesigned logo of Baran Group, we decided to create this animated logo with real copper plates rather than making it entirely on the computer. Copper and verdigris (green oxidized copper) were our suggested branding colors for Baran Group. They wanted to use different copper materials for the interior of their residential high res buildings. We came up with the idea of creating a large number of the globe-like copper plates for two reasons. First, to create a stop motion spinning earth. And second, to use all of the plates as a one-piece artwork for decorating the lobby of one of Baran’s apartments. The chemical process of creating the plates was very challenging and exciting at the same time.Related project
